Incorporating GYROTONIC® exercises into your daily life

GYROTONIC® exercises have been effective in preventing injuries for athletes, dancers and artists, relieving pain from shoulders & neck strain for desk workers, and accelerating the healing process for patients in post-operative rehabilitation programme.
Incorporating Gyrotonic method into your daily life can release the strain and loosen up stiff parts of your body, and readjust your body alignment and help improve your required abilities and skills in whatever profession you may be in.

What is Gyrotonic method?

It is an exercise performed on the Gyrotonic machine to stretch out and strengthen muscles and tendons as well as to maximise the range of motion and movements of joints. 

It is a holistic approach towards movements corresponding to the needs of everyone regardless of age, ability, or flexibility including not only healthy people but also those recovering from various illness or injuries. 

By engaging a matching breathing pattern with each exercise  your body movements become better coordinated, and you can also increase endurance and benefit from aerobic activity.  Furthermore, as connective tissues are tightened, the connection between the bones becomes stronger around the joints where a lot of injuries are likely to happen.

It is a private one on one session with the trainer and the machine is adjusted to fit each individual so that you can stretch and move comfortably at your own pace. 

The machine guides your movement towards the correct direction so you can find it easier to feel the good stretching of your body. 

Why not come and experience the sensation for yourself at as・i・am/apartment at Minami-Aoyama!  Regualr private sessions are available on Thursday evenings (18:30, 19:30, 20:30) and Sunday afternoons (14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00).  

For January 2013 only, I also do Starudays at 14:30 and 15:30.
